Urgent care fills an important gap
Some health problems cannot wait for a routine GP appointment, but do not appear to need an ambulance or a hospital emergency department. Fast Track gives people in this situation another clear option.
The Redlands clinic provides private, walk-in assessment for urgent injuries and illnesses. A clinician decides what examination, testing, imaging or treatment is appropriate after assessing the patient.

What happens when you walk in
- Reception helps with practical registration details.
- A clinician assesses the injury or illness and checks whether urgent care is suitable.
- Clinically appropriate testing and treatment may be provided at the clinic. X-ray and CT are available through Queensland X-Ray approximately 50 metres away.
- You receive an explanation of the next steps, including follow-up or transfer when needed.
Care and nearby imaging
Depending on the clinical assessment and service availability, care may include:
- Assessment and treatment of common injuries and urgent illnesses
- Fracture assessment and management
- X-ray and CT imaging
- Pathology testing
- Planned infusion services
Imaging and pathology are not automatically required. The treating clinician decides what is suitable for each patient.
